PARDY LAB = Participatory Approaches to Research and Design with Youth
Participatory design is about design producers and design users working together as partners or collaborators, so that what is produced is the result of multiple perspectives, positionalities, and ways of existing.
Participatory design research is a methodological approach to co-create with others, and to study the co-creation process and its results, through a lens that centers partnership and collaboration as an equity commitment.
Much of this work happens within a partnership structure the field now describes as a research-practice partnership.
Our lab critically interrogates the relational and ethical dimensions of participatory work while reimagining with partners what co-creation can look like and what it can produce.
